COVID-19 Autumn Booster Eligibility

Get vaccinated this winter! COVID-19 affects older people and people with certain underlying health conditions more significantly than the rest of the population. For these reasons, people who fall into the following categories will be offered the COVID-19 Autumn booster vaccination:

  • People aged 65 years and over
  • Residents of care homes
  • People aged six months to 64 years in a clinical risk group
  • People who are immunosuppressed
  • frontline health and social care workers

If you are eligible, you will be contacted by your GP surgery. You should be offered an appointment between October and December 2024. You are able to book your vaccination using the National Booking Service website or by calling 119.

National Booking Service: Book, change, or cancel a COVID-19 vaccination appointment online – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

If you are turning 65 years of age before January 2025, you will be called for a vaccination during the campaign; you do not have to wait for your birthday.
